A Love That Is Found 60 Years Later

Although the two have rebuilt their lives and had their respective families, they could not overcome this lack and forget this love of youth. 60 years later, fate brought them together.

There are sincere loves, genuine loves which do not know the time and which live united to one heart, to one love.

This is what happened to Anna Kozlov and Boris, two young people who had to separate three days after their wedding.

They were a little over 20 years old, a life filled with dreams to accomplish and years of happiness to share.

However, the social conditions of a Russia marked by the shadow of Stalin, destroyed their plans.

They never saw each other again. Time and emotional emptiness brought wrinkles to their faces, and they kept that lost love in mind.

They did not see each other for 60 years. Six decades later, as they both turned 80, chance or fate brought them together.

Today in this article we want to share this amazing story with you.

Dark times and true love

Anna and Boris met in the square of a small Russian village. Boris was a member of the Communist Party and he was making a speech when he saw her in the crowd.

No one can explain why, but there are times in life when something tells us we’ve found the love of our life. And that’s what happened to these young people.

They knew from the start that their destiny was to be together and so, they married quickly, as Boris was going to be called by the Russian army on a mission.

It must be said that Anna Kozlov’s family was not well regarded by the Communist Party.

His father had been exiled to Siberia because he was a dissident of Stalinist policies, which were very repressive at the time.

However, none of this mattered to Boris and so they did not hesitate to marry and seal their love with a ring, a home to build and a life to live in harmony and happiness.

They lived through the years of repression in a Russia that understood the terms of persecutions, purges and punishments better than those of love, peace and happiness, especially in the village where they lived.

60 years of deep sadness

Three days after their wedding, our lovers said goodbye without knowing that they would not see each other for 60 years.

The reason ? Stalin’s government did not trust Anna’s family.

Even though his father had already been punished and exiled, Stalin decided to do the same with his wife and children.

Anna was not allowed to contact her husband and she did not even know where she was being taken.

So, in addition to the despair due to this unfair punishment, she understood that Boris could not find her again.

Months and years passed… And Anna’s heart was overwhelmed with deep pain. From a desperate desire to flee, and to travel across Russia to find her husband.

Anna’s remarriage

Her life took another turn when one afternoon, when she went to her room, she discovered that her mother had burned all of Boris’ photographs, even those of her marriage.

She told him that it was time to understand that she no longer had a husband. And that, like any woman of age to build a home, she had to think about remarrying.

His own mother had already arranged for him to marry another man.

Anna couldn’t believe what she had just heard. Collapsed in pain, she ran to one of the granaries of the small village in the region of Siberia where she had been exiled, and wanted to hang herself.

Her mother caught up to her in time and slapped her. She had to come to her senses and be reasonable. She had to think to herself and give herself a new opportunity.

And so it was. These were 60 years of deep sadness concealed through smiles, new families formed, children, grandchildren… And a youthful love that she could never forget .

Reunion

A love and its reunion.

Boris became a writer. In most of his books, there appeared a female character, a woman whom the protagonist always ended up losing.

They were the imprints of his own heart, a memory of his youth that healed in him like an insurmountable pain that he would surely bear until his death.

Although fate can be cruel at times, it can also hold great surprises in store for us.

It is as if in a way he was weaving real threads with his artisan fingers. Who united the hearts of lovers.

Fate or chance

Anna and Boris were 80 years old when they decided to return to their hometown.

They were both elderly and they decided it would be a good idea to spend the rest of their lives in a place where they had lived their childhood and youth.

But they hadn’t imagined that they were going to make the same decision at the same time. And chance (or fate) struck.

One morning, Anna saw a man get into a car. She knew his way of holding herself, his gaze, his gestures… It was not possible, it was him, Boris. Her real husband.

The reunion almost caused them to have a mutual heart attack, but love and dreams know neither age nor time.

This is how they met by chance and at the present time, they have not left each other.

They spent a whole night talking about their lives, and nothing else interested them.

They were together again and that was the most important thing for them.
