Home Remedies To Treat Oral Thrush

If we use dentures or any type of dental appliance, we need to take extreme care of our mouth, and maintain good oral hygiene .

Oral candidiasis is an infection located in the mouth. It is caused by fungi or common yeasts called Candida albicans . This disease can cause certain symptoms like a thick white coating on the tongue and throat.

It can also cause small lesions or rashes that are very itchy. There are many natural treatments for candidiasis. All of them have shown their effectiveness. We can therefore benefit from the medicinal properties contained in many foods in our daily life!

Garlic treatment

Garlic is a very effective and antifungal natural antibiotic. So it is a perfect option to make an excellent home remedy! It will allow us to put an end to oral thrush. This is because garlic has the ability to prevent the growth of fungi. In addition, it does not affect the immune system in any way!

The remedy is quite simple: all it takes is a clove of garlic! Cut it in half and place each half on one cheek and on your gums. Leave it on for at least half an hour. Do this two or three times a day.

The yogurt treatment

Natural yogurt is a probiotic. It therefore contains healthy bacteria which can actually prevent the growth of fungi. It is for this reason that it is strongly recommended to use it as a natural treatment for oral thrush. You must consume at least two natural yogurts every day, that is to say without sugar!

The tea tree oil treatment

Tea tree oil is a natural and effective treatment for oral thrush. This remedy can be used as a mouthwash. To prepare it, add ten drops of this oil to half a glass of water. You can then do mouthwashes about three times a day, which will allow you to feel a real improvement!

The aloe vera treatment

Aloe vera is a medicinal plant. It contains a lot of properties, especially against bacteria. It is also an effective fungicide. This is precisely why it is another recommended natural remedy for oral thrush. To make this remedy, just put some aloe vera gel on each side of your mouth. Then we let it act for ten or fifteen minutes.

There is a very effective way to prevent this and other mouth problems:  maintain proper oral hygiene! This requires mouthwashing at least twice a day, especially before going to sleep.

If you use braces, you will need to be much more careful. You will need to clean your mouth more often than others, as leftover food can build up in dentures or appliances, creating  fungus.
