1. Homemade yogurt with strawberries

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of liquid whole milk (500 ml)
  • 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt (200 g)
  • 2 cups of strawberries, cut into pieces (200 g)
  • 5 tablespoons of honey (50 g)
  • Grated coconut

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat. Avoid it reaching the boiling point, because the idea is only to heat it up a little.
  • Once the milk is ready, turn off the heat and add the plain yogurt. Mix well with a spoon, then transfer to a glass container with a lid.
  • Leave the container in a warm place for about 3 hours.
  • After this time, put the container in the refrigerator overnight. You will finish the preparation the next day.
  • Remove the yogurt from the refrigerator and stir with a spoon. Add the honey while stirring constantly.
  • To add the strawberry pieces, there are 2 options: you can simply add them to the creamy mixture and stir, or you can make a jam and spread it.
  • If you choose the latter option, simmer the pieces of strawberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 cup of water and mix until you get a jam.
  • Let everything sit until it reaches room temperature and enjoy.

As a final touch, you can sprinkle some grated coconut on top.

2. Homemade fruit and cereal yogurt

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rolled oats (100 g)
  • 3 cups of plain yogurt (300 g)
  • 2 tablespoons of almonds (20 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon (20 g)
  • 2 medium bananas (175 g)
  • 1/2 peeled orange (60 g)
  • 3 slices of kiwi (25 g)

Preparation

  • Wash and then cut all the fruit into small pieces (preferably into cubes of about 2 cm).
  • Take the cups of plain yogurt and pour them into a container.
  • Then add the fruit and mix with a spoon. Repeat the process with the almonds and oatmeal.
  • Once everything is well mixed, then add the spoonful of cinnamon and stir again so that it does not collect in one place.
  • Although it is not recommended to add more ingredients, if you wish, you can also add half a teaspoon of honey to give a sweeter taste.
