How to prepare aloe vera and honey soap

We are therefore going to explain to you the easiest way to make this kind of soap. Using glycerin is a simple method that saves us a lot of trouble. With it, we can be sure that the recipe will work the first time.

There are other ways to create soap, but they are more complicated. So, you can also use waste oil at home, but you have to add caustic soda, a very dangerous ingredient that could hurt you when handling it.

This is why we are going to focus on a simpler and safer recipe, which guarantees success and safety!

Ingredients:

  • The pulp of four branches of aloe vera
  • Two 250 gram glycerin soap bars
  • Four tablespoons of honey
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • Zest of a lemon

Utensils for preparation:

  • A glass bowl
  • A microwave oven
  • A mixer

Preparation:

  • Place the two bars of glycerin soap in the bowl. Then put in the microwave to melt them for 3 or 4 minutes. Check every now and then to see if it’s melted.
  • Then take the aloe vera pulp and add it to the bowl. Also add the four tablespoons of honey and lemon zest.
  • Heat the olive oil a little. It should be stay lukewarm. Because if it becomes too hot, it will lose all its virtues.
  • Mix the mixture at low power. Gradually introduce the lukewarm oil. Mix all the elements until you make a homogeneous paste. It will have a brilliant color and an excellent fragrance!
  • Then put the dough in a mold prepared beforehand. This mold should be square and plastic. This is indeed the final shape that our homemade soap should have.
  • Pour the mixture until only a few inches remain free. Remember that you have to remove the soap from the mold afterwards, so it should be easy to do.
  • Once the mixture is in the mold, place the container directly in the refrigerator. It will gel properly. How long should it stay cool? We recommend that you leave it for a whole day.
  • Then, you can cut the large soap obtained into several small soaps for daily use. 

For our part, we used lemon and olive oil as essential oils for our soap. But you can use what you want and what you like the most. H uile pink, orange, lavender, etc …

As for the presentation, it is always nicer to cut the soap in a special way, for example in the shape of a heart or an oval. Then you can wrap it in pretty paper and add ribbons. Every detail counts to make a nice gift for those around you.
